Kankiling Charitable Organization, Norway, is a volunteer organization whose primary purpose is to support worthy causes and initiatives (preferably with financial support) to primarily pre-school and school children in the Gambia, in close collaboration with Kankiling Charitable Foundation, Gambia.
The main activity is contributing to improved educational facilities through improved equipment, renovation and / or expansion of schools, as well as assistance for food and projects to help themselves.
Revenues for contribution are generated mainly through donations and sponsorship scheme. The organization's board is responsible for deciding which projects that will be supported. Proceeds from the association's activities will entirely go to charity. The association's board is not entitled to receive any financial contributions from the organization.
NB; all the money goes directly to our projects in the Gambia.
So far, all our projects have been related to Karantaba Lower Basic School in Karantaba, near Jarra, Soma. In the long term the idea is to contribute at several schools to improve services to students. We basically want to support projects aimed at all the students in general at the various schools. In addition, we seek to support community projects that can help increase the income of the individual school.
